Aila is excited to announce that we’re in an exclusive partnership with one of the most successful businesses in the area who have grown rapidly since inception, and in the last 12 months has seen their revenue increase to over £2.1bn with a 35% YOY increase. They are growing rapidly and have no signs of slowing down either. This is a pivotal time for the business as they rapidly expand their network and require funding to support the capital investment. This role will lead in assessing, obtaining and implementing longer term funding to support the business growth and the contract length is initially 4-5 months.

We’re supporting on the recruitment of an ACA/ACCA and ideally CTA qualified Treasury Manager on an interim basis with the potential to extend or turn permanent for the right individual.
You will be responsible for safeguarding all aspects of financial risk management and the financial health of the business and will be crucial to the maintenance of financial control. The role encompasses short term cash management, process improvement and financial modelling and forecasting as well as managing banking facilities, together with developing and managing relationships with banking partners.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash and liquidity management
  • Forecasting cash flow, considering borrowing needs and investment requirements
  • Develop and maintain short term and longer-term cash flow models
  • Working across the finance function to develop and maintain effective oversight on cash requirements and working capital movements
  • Optimise management of short term liquidity including management of bank account balances and investment of surplus cash
  • Lead project to assess and obtain long term funding to support the strategy of the business
  • Implement and manage longer-term funding including covenant compliance statements
  • Maximising interest receivable on cash balances and minimising funding costs
  • Managing interest rate and FX risks
  • Lead reporting on Treasury matters to the Audit Committee and Board
  • Manage operational requirements and management information requirements for key facilities
  • Maintain good relationships across the finance team around treasury related areas of process improvement and information requirements for cash flow forecasting
  • Maintain wider relationships across the business for new business propositions and funding requirements, including assessment of funding options for capital expenditure
  • Overall responsibility for the Treasury Function, accountable to the Financial Controller
  • Weekly, monthly and annual reporting on actual and forecast cash

To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant with substantial experience in treasury management and comfortability working in a large complex organisation, preferably within a Retail or Consumer Goods environment.
